 formal social networks on small group performance in decisional tasksAbstr
 actAfter an overview of his past and recent research activities\, Fabio wi
 ll focus on recent researches about the mutual effects of irrational behav
 ior and informal social networks on managerial decision processes. First\,
  he will propose the results of a first study which investigated - through
  an experiment - the extent to which individuals and small groups with dif
 ferent cognitive-trust structures are biased and influenced by the so-call
 ed “anchoring effect”. Finally\, he will show preliminary results of two o
 ther experiments aimed at clarify the mutual effects of irrationality and 
 informal structures in decisional tasks if groups are treated by irrationa
 lity-inducing elements such as the decoy alternative and high incentives.S
 hort bioFabio Nonino is Associate Professor of Project Management (Scienti
 fic Sector ING/IND-35) at the Department of Computer\, Control\, and Manag
 ement Engineering 'Antonio Ruberti' (DIAG) of Sapienza University of Rome.
  He is Director of the Advanced Course in Project\, Program and Portfolio 
 Management and member of the Scientific Committee of the two Master's Degr
 ee at Sapienza University of Rome. Since 2008\, he has been supervisor of 
 275 master thesis for the MSc in Management Engineering. He is member of b
 oard of the PhD in Industrial and Management Engineering of Sapienza Unive
 rsity of Rome\, lecturer and supervisor of 8 doctoral students (currently 
 1 assistant professor\, 2 post-doc researcher\, 1 deputy director of a res
 earch institute and 4 in itinere). He has been invited lecturer in several
  BSc\, MSc and Doctorate courses. His research activities focus on Operati
 ons and Service Management\, Innovation Management and Organizational Beha
 vior Development. The research has resulted in over 130 scientific publica
 tions and of 2 international books: “Additive Manufacturing – Enhancing Bu
 siness Value” (Springer) and “The Road to Servitization - How Product Serv
 ice Systems Can Disrupt Companies’ Business Models” (Springer). The number
  of papers listed by SCOPUS database is 38 (49 research products) with a t
 otal number of citations of 951 and an overall h-index of 17.
